Tomb retinue horse
Horse with clipped mane and tail. ca 725 A.D. Glazed pottery tomb figure, one of a pair, on a flat base. The trappings, including double saddle pads and a saddle draped with a knotted cloth, are decorated with Sassanian motifs. Brown glaze with patches of manganese in oxidized areas.
