Presentation Box with Lid
Jeweled gold presentation b ox; surface chased with swastika fret design. Cover of box bears crutch and gourd, emblems of Taoist philosopher Li T'ieh-Kuai, surrounded by delicately spun gold blossoms picked out with small cabochon rubies, sapphires, and green jade. The emblems dime in filigree. One of a set of eight presented to the Emperor Ch'ien Lung in the 43rd year of his reign.
