tobacco box, rectangular with rounded ends, of copper with hinged brass lid and soldered brass bottom; stamped decoration on cover represents a battle of the Seven Years War at Torgan (Nov. 3, 1760) when the Prussians defeated the Austrians; flanking this scene an equestrian portrait of the Austrian leader, Marchal Daun, and an equestrian portrait of Frederick the Great; four letter name of maker on lower top edge is illegible; bottom of box decorated with a design bearing St. Mary of Peace with a votive inscription below; above, a crucifix with the words: 'The crucified is my Love'
