Square Shawl

Square shawl, of hand-loom patchwork with a design of large scrolls and serpentine border. The outer border is embroidered on strips of plain colored wool. Colors chiefly red, yellow, blue, green; lining of black cotton. Badly worn and darned in middle field. One corner turned back on field and stitched down. #13 in travelling exhibition.
