Dragon robe

Imperial 12-symbol robe of yellow k'ossu with nine five-clawed dragons in gold, those in profile clutching the Heavenly Jewel. Meander fret-work background in blue, against which appear, in addition to the 12 ancient symbols, long life characters and bats gripping he couble peach in tones of blue, pink, mauve, violet, red, olive, green, blue-green, yellow, pale green, and gold. Border of slightly wavy slanting lines body colors separated by a line of regularly disposed tight clouds from over-lapping waves in which appear swastikas, Taoist emblems and branches of coral. Border design repeated on sleeves a bove a strip of burnt orange twilled silk ending in cuffs of dark blue k'ossu of body design which are edged with band of blue and gold brocade. Collar band of the same. Robe slit at sides and lined with thin orange silk fretwork design.
