Dragon Robe
Imperial 12-symbol robe of yellow k'ossu with swastika fret diaper in light blue. Nine 5-clawed dragons in gold. In addition to 12 ancient symbols, ground filled with loose small clouds, bats with double peach and swastikas, wedding symbol characters(?), swastikas, double peach and Taoist symbols in shades of blue, green,red, pink, yellow and strong purple. Conventional border of straight, slanting stripes, tight clouds; rolling waves among which appear Buddhist symbols. Olive green appears in border. Below border on sleeve a strip of black striped with gold. Wide, deep cuffs and collar band of blue k'ossu with gold swastika fret diaper, clouds, dragons, bats and souble wedding chatacter. The use of latter indicates this may have been a wedding robe. Dragon's eyes embroidered. Robe slit at sides and lined with yellow raw silk.
