Sword guard, School of Soten of Hikone, circular. High relief and openwork design showing the oxherd at a waterfall meeting the man who dreamt of the Emperor; figures on obverse. Pierced, carved, engraved and inlaid design; gold, silver and copper inlays; dark brown patina; rim smooth. Three blade holes.
