Dragon robe
Court robe of dark blue k'ossu with nine 5-clawed dragons in gold. In ground loosely-drawn clouds, bats, Buddhist and Taoist emblems, and peonies in shades of red, rose, green, blue, yellow, olive-green, and soft violet. Rather deep conventional border with slightly wavy slanting stripes, tight clouds, swastikas, coral, Buddhist, Taoist and cash symbols. Below border on sleeve a strip of stiped black and gold brocaded satin. Cuffs and collar band of dark blue k'ossu edged with black and gold fret-work brocade. Painted details. Robe slit back and front and lined with blue raw silk. K'ossu of firm quality except in dragon areas. Inscription in front.
