Altar Frontal

Shaped altar frontal of pale brick red and gold k'ossu. Design of lower section carries five five-clawed dragons in gold with precious symbols, loose clouds, bats and the eternal sea in shades of blue and pale yellow. In the upper, valance section of gold k'ossu, set off from lower section by a band of dark blue k'ossu with running lotus design in shades of lighter blue, appear large peonies and phoenix in shades of pink, yellow, green, blue, and pale rust color. Painted details in valance section. The lower section is bordered with a band of black k'ossu with the running lotus design in gold. Lining and hanging band of blue cotton. Inscription on back.
