Sword guard, Kinai type, circular. Relief of Mount Fuji, clouds, and flying bird in positive silhouette. Pierced, carved, engraved and gilded design; gold and silver damascening and inlay; brown patina; rough rim. Three blade holes. Inscription on reverse; signed, Kinai of Echizen.
