Throne Back Cushion Cover

Throne back cover of yellow k'ossu with a central, shaped panel, edged with a band of gold threads in which are scattered peonies, lotus, chrysanthemums, bats, and swastikas in shades of blue, green, red, pink, apricot, and gold threads. Border of the same design. The boxed border has running design of floral sprays and bats. Lining of yellow raw silk with cloud patter. Seal & inscription on back. Cf. 42.8.238 for similar design
