Square Panel
Square panel of imperial yellow k'ossu with large, seated five-clawed dragon in gold. Above, a longevity character in crimson; below the Eternal Sea motif. Note that the central and left-central waves as well as the sacred mountain have been restored with a painted section where original had worn away. In the field loose clouds. Colors include shades of blue, green, red, pink, olive-green and mauve. Triple applied border of brocade in three different patterns; the narrow inner one of red satin, the middle one of blue satin and the outer one of pale green satin. The k'ossu in this piece of fine quality. Lining of orange satin damask.
