Sword guard (tsuba)
Sword guard, octagonal. Relief tiger in a bamboo woods, near a waterfall on obverse; leaves on reverse; surface plain; rim slightly raised. Carved, engraved and inlaid; gold and copper inlays; brown patina; nearly smooth rim. Two blade holes.
