Court Robe
Court robe of blue k'ossu with diaper ground of quatrefoil enclosing narcissus blossom (?) in gold, and swastika in bright grass green. Loose cloud forms, bats, and Buddhist emblems in shades of blue, yellow, olive green, grey, mauve, and many varieties of green. Note particularly the grass green of the swastika in diaper ground. Conventional border of slightly wavy slanting stripes; tight cloud forms; rolling waves scattered with Buddhist emblems. Below border on the sleeve a strip of blister-ribbed black silk. Cuffs and collar band of black k'ossu with body designs; edging of gold and black fretwork brocade. Eyes of body dragons embroidered. Robe slit at sides and lined with blue silk with broken diaper ground.
