Sword guard (tsuba)
Sword guard, Nara school, circular. Relief plum tree in blossom; main branch on obverse; fallen blossoms on reverse. Carved, engraved and inlaid design; gold, silver and sentoku alloy inlays; grayish patina; smooth rim. Three blade holes.
