Panel of pale brick red k'ossu with large lotus sprays, bats and thick continuous cloud band in shades of blue, peach, pale tan, and ivory. Painted details. Border of blue satin brocaded with alternating dragon medallions and stylized clouds. Cf. C.235,(42.8.174), Bound on both edges with pale blue silk. Lining of yellow satin damsk of cloud design. Note Mrs.H. had attributed this to Ming.
