Runner, One of a pair
One of a pair of K'ossu runners made from imperial robe of fuchsia-color. The pieces have been seamed in the middle so that the design appears in proper perspective at each end. Five-clawed dragons in gold; loose clouds, bats, longevity characters, swastikas and Buddhist symbols in shades of blue, lavendar, violet, pink, yellow, red, orange and green. Bordering each end is the eternal sea motif with deep striped area. Symbols of the Eight Precious Things, swastikas, etc. in the waves. Border of black silk brocaded with floral design in colors. Lining of brown cotton.
