Oval shaped faience platter; fine example of the multi-color decorations used in conjunction with the grand-feu method in use in the factory in the 1740's; decorated with a border of foliage and fruit, among which are yellow and brown pears and clusters of blue grapes; two different shades of green appear in the foliage; scrolls, fruits and vines encircling a bowl of fruit constitute the motif of the central panel; blue underglaze
