Woman's blouse (Huipil)

Red ground with narrow brown, yellow, blue, navy, green warp stripes; open on sides; square neck, two-panel huipil with embroidered randa; center of huipil is dominated by two large birds, two small cats, and two columns of floral motifs directly below neck edge; shoulders are patterned with full brocade in geometric designs including rows of rayed diamonds; multicolored designs, some of space-dyed type, possibly some silk in shoulder area; fabric is very supple with good hand.
