Dragon Robe
Imperial robe of greyed-blue k'ossu with nine 5-clawed dragons in gold. In the body are scattered loose clouds, bats, cranes, and Buddhist symbols in shades of blue, green, pink, red, yellow, violet,olive green, and strong purple. Conventional border of rather wavy slanting stripes; regularly disposed tight clouds; shallow area of rolling wqves in which appear Buddhist symbols, coral and symbols of the Eight Precious Things. Below border on sleeves, a strip of grey-blue cotton striped with gold line in sets of three. Cuffs and collar band of greyed-blue k'ossu with dragons, bats, clouds etc. Edging of blue and gold brocade. Robe slit front and back and lined with thin blue silk. Good quality k'ossu; robe in good condition.
