Dragon Robe
Robe of purplis-blue silk brocade with nine 5-clawed dragons. In the field are scattered loose clouds, long-life characters, bats, cranes, Buddhist and Taoist emblems in shades of blue, violet, red, yellow, rust, pink and green. all very analine in quality. Conventional border of slightly wavy slanting stripes; tight rather deep cloud arrangement; rolling waves in which appear symbols of the Eight Precious Things. Below border on sleeves a strip of black silk horizontally striped in orange, green, magenta, yellow and white. Cuffs and collar band of black brocade with dragons , cloudsetc. Edging of brown and gold brocade. The robe is unlined, but faced with the body silk. Quality inferior and colors bad.
