Note: The marks indicate that it is English. If so, it was probably done by Joseph Taylor (see page. 197, Old Silver). Two American silversmiths have the same maker's mark: John Tanner (c.1740) from Newport, Rhode Island and Jacob Ten Eych (1725-1793) from Albany, New York.
