Processional cross
Artist: Follower of Francesco Marti of Lucca
wrought in copper gilt embellished with blue nimbi for the terminal figures; on the obverse terminals are illustrated God the Father, the Virgin Mary, St. John the Evangelist, and St. John the Baptist, the patron saint of the city, holding the city hall, the Palazzo Signoria, in his hands; on the reverse terminals we find the symbolic personifications of the four evangelists, the angel of Matthew, the lion of Mark, the ox of Luke, and the eagle of John
