Face veil

Face veil, black Chantilly lace. (Worn with hat). Half-circular in shape. Scalloped border on curved side of conventionalized elliptical designs surmounted by flowing floral sprays and ribbons in repeat. Réseau, or net grund, of typical Chintilly six-pointed star, called "Fond Chant" (contraction of Fond Chantilly) covered with small round dots. Lace, Chantilly.
