tea cup and saucer, ceramic-porcelain, French XVIIIc (82.109.14.1 and .2) called 'coffee cup and saucer' on cat. cards; dims h of cup 2-1/2' diam of saucer 4-3/4' Straight-sided cup with scroll handle, saucer with sloping sides. White ground with tiny sprigs of polychrome flowers and a border of continuous triangles reserved in lilac with miniature sprigs. In center of cup letter 'I' composed of floral sprigs and enclosed within a rose circlet.
