Rug

Rug with conventionalized tree of life on dark tan field. Four borders, one wide one with conventionalized flower pattern joined by an angular stem and leaf arrangement, a narrow border on either side with a more undulating flower and vine pattern and a narrow guard border surrounding the field with a reciprocal device in black. Warp, hemp; woof, wool. Ghiordes knot. Sides overcast in black, ends have a fringe of loose warp threads. Very much worn and colors faded.
