Mei-ping Vase
Tzu Chou Vase, tall slender form with wide shoulders rounding to a small nozzle-shaped mouth, boldly painted in iron-brown over white slip with a broad frieze of peony spray between double line borders and with freely brushed leaf clusters in glaze ending unevenly around the foot, the base unglazed revealing the hard gray stoneware.
