Saddle Cover
Saddle Cover, Herat type, rows of palmettes with stems all turned in one direction cover a pale green field. Three border stripes carrying undulating flower and stem patterns; central stripe has pale red ground, the others have pale green grounds. Both ends are finished with a web turned under and sewed down. Sides have an added selvedge web of red silk. The six inch slit at top for the saddle horn is finished in the same way. Ghiordes knot. Cotton warp, cottton woof.
