candlestick with turned baluster stem screwed into a simply moulded base of flattened bell shape, disk grease-catcher placed midway on stem, socket pierced in one place, probably to receive a thumb piece which originally operated a spring inside the socket, this candlestick of Dutch type known as Kraagkandelar (collar candlestick)
