stool with female caryatid; seat of the stool is round and flat, with the edges decorated with a repeating pattern of ovals; seat reset on the head and arms of the female figure, whose head is large and oval; eyes are large and oval, slitted down the middle; two rows of dots lead down to her nose, which is a large triangular shape; mouth is oval, with prominent lips; arms are thick and bent to support the seat of the stool; breasts are pointed and protrude out into space; beneath torso is carved in intricate patterns; figure is kneeling, resting on her bent legs which connect to the base of the stool; edges of the base are also carved in an oval pattern, similar to seat; entire piece is the natural color of the wood--a dark brown
