Pestle
pestle body is a cylinder that spreads into a wider base; top of pestle is carved into the likeness of a head, with hair carved into five patterned rows that pull back from forehead and one patterned row running horizontally along base of neck; eyes are in the shape of diamonds and nose is in shape of flat triangle; the mouth is a thin oval with slightly parted lips; there are two, short vertical lines carved into each cheek, and a longer line running from the bridge of the nose to the middle of the forehead; the neck is slightly thinner than the body of the pestle, and a carved ring separates the body from the round base; the entire piece is a medium brown--the natural color of the wood
