long, black velvet loose dress with heavily embroidered cuffs in silver, gold and red metallic thread; short raglan sleeves; front of dress and upper back has embroiderey with silver thread, colored sequins and cowrie shells in criss-cross, diamond and floral patterns; lined square neck has wide edging of silver thread and sequins, and red and gold lace; lower back edge is pieced and is shorter than front (long front section and sides are pieces below sleeve line)
